The Urban Farming Institute (UFI) in a nonprofit urban farming organization based in Boston focused on food, education and community. We grow on six farm sites in Mattapan, Roxbury and Dorchester and distribute produce through our farmstand and CSA programs. UFI operates two greenhouses (Fabyan St in Dorchester and Norfolk St in Mattapan) where we grow vegetable and flower seedlings for local gardeners, urban farms and other community groups. We offer seeding preorders through our website and in-person purchases during our Seedling Sale held in May. In this CRAFT meeting we will discuss our methods for seedling production and how we manage and run both in-person and online seedling sales.
