Eva’s Garden seeks a sales/packing assistant for the 2019 growing season. The position is full-time for spring and summer months, with the option for part time winter work. Ideal start date is March 4th2019. The sales/packing assistant will work closely with the farm manager to coordinate the entering and packing orders for the farm’s weekly delivery to Boston restaurants, as well as weekly and deliveries to other regional restaurants and wholesale buyers. Sales/packing assistant duties will include entering and tracking of orders using our online ordering systems, making product labels, doing weekly deliveries to local restaurants and wholesaler in Boston, and assisting in packing our weekly delivery truck. Eva’s Garden has supplied Boston and South Coast chefs as well as Whole Foods Markets and other wholesale buyers for over 30 years. The farm is 70 miles south of Boston in coastal Dartmouth MA.
Applicants should be in good physical condition, able to do repetitive manual work outdoors in any weather, and able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. Must be able to comfortably lift 50lbs an have a clean driving record. Office and computer skills are required, as well as attention to detail. At least one year of farm experience is a plus, with preference given to those who have worked in small-scale fresh produce operations. We are hard-working yet easy-going and expect the same from qualified applicants.
Pay is commensurate with experience, and can increase as skills increase.
