Eva’s Garden seeks a pick/pack leader for the 2017 growing season. The position is full-time and seasonal, from April 10-November 27. The pick/pack leader will work closely with the farm manager to coordinate the picking and packing for the farm’s weekly delivery to Boston restaurants, as well as weekly and occasional deliveries to other regional restaurants and wholesale buyers. Eva’s Garden has supplied Boston and South Coast chefs as well as Whole Foods Markets and other wholesale buyers for over 30 years. The farm is 70 miles south of Boston in coastal Dartmouth MA.
In addition, the pick/pack leader will work closely with the farm manager to coordinate the sowing, picking, and packing of the farm’s mini greens.
Applicants should be in good physical condition, able to do repetitive manual work outdoors in any weather, and able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances. At least one year of farm experience is required, with preference given to those who have worked in small-scale fresh produce operations. We are hard-working yet easy-going and expect the same from qualified applicants.
Pay is commensurate with experience, and can increase as skills increase.
