SEMAP Workshop on Wash Stations & Cold Storage

Join SEMAP for a tour of Skinny Dip Farm in Little Compton, RI. Husband and wife team Ben and Hannah Wolbach farm 4 acres of certified organic vegetables and flowers. We will get a chance to talk about the farm overall and additional topics to be covered include:

Post-harvest handling for long-term winter storage

Using Coolbot powered cold storage through the winter with the addition of heating capacity. The farm has 2 retrofitted coolers and will hopefully have a third pro set up in use by the time of the workshop.

Demo of the farm’s bike-powered root crop washer

Discussion of what crops they grow when for winter sales
