SEMAP and Mass In Motion – Fall River are proud to partner in supporting three farmers markets in Fall River. The goal of these markets is to increase access to local food through the use of SNAP, HIP and WIC/Senior Coupons. Each of these programs is aimed at eliminating financial barriers to accessing healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. Our markets are designed to bring local growers into the community, meeting residents in need where they are to make this food as available and accessible as possible.
SNAP, HIP, and Farmers Market Coupons are accepted at all markets, but people are welcome to shop using cash or card as well. All shoppers with an EBT card for SNAP are automatically enrolled in Massachusetts’s Healthy Incentives Program, or HIP, and do not need to sign up separately. In order to use HIP, you must have a balance on your EBT card at the time of the transaction.
