SNEACTS 2026 Call for Workshop Proposals

The Southeast New England Agricultural Conference & Trade Show (SNEACTS) is pleased to
invite farmers, producers, community based organizations, individuals and other agricultural
stakeholders to submit workshop proposals for our upcoming conference on Sunday, February
1, 2026 held at Bristol County Agricultural High School in Dighton, MA. (Snow Date: February
8, 2026)

About the Call for Proposals

This 2026 Workshop Call for Proposals is now open! The SNEACTS Steering Committee seeks
proposals from those interested in sharing their knowledge, expertise, innovative ideas, points
of view and everything in between on all things agriculture, food and our working landscape.
Applications will be due Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 11:59pm EST. All applicants will be
notified of the status of their proposal by Friday, October 17, 2025.


Selected workshop presenters will receive a stipend of $125, free admission to the 2026
SNEACTS & local lunch, and mileage reimbursement on a case by case basis for presenters
that are traveling a long distance. BIPOC presenters are eligible for increased compensation.

Workshop Topics

These workshops can cover a wide range of topics, but are not limited to:
● Crop production & growing practices
● Livestock and Dairy
● Cut flower production
● Aquaculture and Shellfish
● Beginning, Mid-Career and Advanced Farmers
● Pest, Rodents, Bird & Disease management
● Food and Value Added products
● Accounting, business planning, marketing, etc. for farms and agri-businesses
● Innovative ideas in the agricultural landscape
● And so much more...!

How to Submit

All interested applicants submitting a proposal must provide the following information:
● Up to a 1-page workshop proposal with title of the workshop, description of topic
covered, why this topic is of interest to our agricultural community or general attendees,
and who might be interested in this workshop (beginning, advanced growers, oyster
farmers etc.)
● Bio/description of individual(s) and their farm or business (where applicable) that will
be giving the workshop at the 2026 SNEACTS
Please submit application materials in an email with the heading SNEACTS Workshop
Proposal to Brad at bfesmire@semaponline.org by Sunday, September 21, 2025.

Southeast New England Agriculture Conference & Trade Show February 1, 2026, Bristol Aggie High School

Our goal is to bring farmers, food producers, fishermen,  and service providers together to share knowledge and learn about innovations in agriculture. The steering committee that organizes the conference includes Bristol County Agricultural High School, Buy Fresh Buy Local Cape Cod, Cluck and Trowel Farm, Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation, NOFA-RI, OASIS on Ballou, Plymouth County Extension 4-H, Pocasset Pokanoket Land Trust and SEMAP. We hope you join us for a day of community, networking and learning around some of the most pressing issues facing our food system.

Kids Conference:

A day at the conference for you doesn’t have to mean a boring day at home for your child! Your child can join 4-H staff, volunteers, and members for some fun and learning. These programs are open to youth age 3-14. Kids are encouraged to leave devices like iPads or video games at home so we can all share the day.

Tickets:

Tickets are offered on a sliding scale and recommendations are provided at each level. We don’t want cost to be a barrier to attending – please choose the ticket level that is comfortable for you, even if it doesn’t align with our recommendation. Free tickets are available. All tickets include a locally sourced lunch!
