Robert Mullaney is the co-owner (along with his wife, Raquel) of the 1620 Winery and the 1620 Wine Bar in Plymouth. As the grandson of a Sicilian winemaker, Bob comes from a long line of winemakers. Though he grew up around the art, he didn’t begin making wine in earnest until his early twenties. Bob’s first winery was a modest one occupying a portion of his home. Independent Fermentations Brewing (aka IndieFerm) is a small craft beer brewery, kombucha brewery, winery, tap room, home brew supply shop, and hop farm located in Plymouth5. IndieFerm specializes in making craft beers with locally grown ingredients with an emphasis on Belgian and German styles. They brew what they like to drink and that covers a lot of territory. They sometimes describe their brewing approach as “radically traditional.” Their tap room has 12 beers and several kombuchas on tap Tuesdays and Thursday through Sunday every week (closed Monday and Wednesday). In the warmer months they have a pop-up food vendor and live music on the weekends. They are always pet and family friendly.
