Donors are a crucial part of SEMAP’s mission to keep farmers farming. Your support powers our initiatives to uplift farmers and communities across Southeastern Massachusetts (and beyond), and strengthen our local food system to promote health for all.
2021 was another challenging year in countless ways, and as many families continue to face the dire threat of food insecurity brought on by the COVID-19, we have seen clearly the need to build a resilient local food system. Our farms provide not only healthy, local food, but also function as vital pieces of our neighborhoods and communities. SEMAP has worked tirelessly to support our local food network, safely bringing farmers markets to vulnerable populations, educating consumers about programs to help them access locally-grown food, providing personal protection equipment to farmers and market operators, and more. We’ve also assisted farmers with grant applications, helping them gain infrastructure like refrigeration and delivery to help their business well into the future.
As we continue to push through the pandemic, our work depends on the support of people like you, who believe in SEMAP’s mission of connecting people with local farms and produce, supporting our regional farmers and maintaining a strong local food system in southeastern Massachusetts.
You want to see a strong, broad, and transparent network of local farmers, food distributors, and food policy advocates throughout the region.
We can help build it.
