From buy-local campaigns and Farmer’s Markets to CSA’s and farmland preservation as pieces and parts of what constitutes a healthy agricultural sector, Ag day marks a celebration of everything related to agriculture in the Commonwealth.  The beauty of this event is the friendly atmosphere that pervades throughout the day. Legislators, who help create a fruitful environment for farmers and eaters alike through legislation, mingle with farmers, food system collaborators,  MDAR and Extension staff, dairy owners, beekeepers, urban farmers and many more.
