July 21, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

You can have your flower garden and eat it, too! Learn how in the Cooking & Gardening with Edible Flowers: A Virtual Tour and Demo from Seekonk Public Library on Wednesday, July 21 at 6 PM. Chef and author Liz Barbour will share a slideshow tour of her cottage sized edible gardens and demonstrate two delicious recipes featuring edible flowers from her garden. This program is free and will be hosted virtually with Zoom, but space is limited; Registration information is in the Events Calendar at www.seekonkpl.org.

Liz shares about this class, “Edible flowers have a long history in the culinary world as whimsical garnishes and subtle flavor additions used to create dishes that look as beautiful as they taste. With so many choices available to you, it’s time to explore all the varieties of edible flowers you can grow in your garden and the many ways you can use them to enhance your cooking.”

Join her for a slideshow tour through her edible gardens that surround her circa 1744 New Hampshire home and see how she has introduced a variety of herbs to blend beautifully and deliciously into the landscape.
