New Hampshire Food Alliance 2022 Network Café Series

Kick off the new year with a solid understanding of food-related policy in the pipeline! As a follow up to November’s 2021 NH Agricultural Policy Forum, join us as we reconvene New Hampshire’s food system policy stakeholders and advocates to review, discuss, and network around the proposed agricultural legislation for the state’s 2022 legislative session. We will hear about a variety of state policy, from climate and energy bills to school food reimbursement programs, as well as information about New Hampshire’s legislative process.

Join the NH Food Alliance each month for a lively conversation to learn from partners across the New Hampshire food system and beyond. Network Cafe topics are suggested by our Backbone Team and network partners, often leading to further collaborations and projects; turning talk into action.

Farmers in New Hampshire— and nationwide— face many challenges and uncertainties that contribute to extreme stress and weigh heavily on their mental health. Join our April Network Café to explore how various organizations are working to build awareness about these issues and ensure that our agricultural community has tools available to address the root causes of farm stress. We’ll hear from Olivia Saunders of UNH Extension, Josh Marshall of NH Farm Bureau, and retired clinical social worker and farmer, Eve Klotz, about their work developing the Farm & Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN), a network of programs and resources that supports the mental health of New Hampshire’s farming community.
