SEMAP Twilight Workshop: Direct Seeded Crops

Join SEMAP for the latest installment of our Twilight Grower Series on September 13th, 6-8pm at Freedom Food Farm in Raynham, MA

Freedom Food Farm is an 88-acre diversified and holistic farm. Farmers Chuck Currie and Marie Kaziunas have been at their current location since 2014 and are now in their sixth growing season. They produce a wide range of agricultural products including produce, herbs, heritage eggs, flowers, raw honey, grain & beans, hay, straw, pasture-raised meat, plant starts, as well as value-added products.

A special focus of this twilight will be on Freedom Food Farm direct seeding methods, especially, the use of the Jang Seeder which is a precision wheeled seeder which the farm purchased after being awarded a Technology, Innovation, and Excellence (TIE) Grant by SEMAP.

The Twilight will be from 6-8pm at 471 Leonard Street in Raynham, MA. The event is rain or shine. Please arrive promptly at 6pm. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $5 for Beginning Farmers and $20 for the General Public.
