Hear from representatives from Coastal Food Shed, The Marion Institute, and MDAR and discuss all aspects of wholesale from planning to delivery.

Coastal Food Shed and The Marion Institute will take some time to speak with farmers about current marketing channels, interest in growing their wholesale marketing spaces, interest in a food hub, and farm to school opportunities.  We’ll discuss what these new channels could mean for their farm business and will give Coastal Food Shed better insights on farmers market farmers; their struggles and opportunities.

MDAR’s Produce Safety, Market Access and Certification Division would like to share its commencement for the development of a Commonwealth Quality Farmer’s Market audit program. Currently in its conception stage, the Department is engaging stakeholders through dialogue to initiate the sharing of ideas, concerns and input for this new program area.
