The National FIELD School builds the future of farming—one trainer at a time.

With the average age of U.S. farmers now at 58 and 70% of farmland transitioning hands in the next 20 years, we urgently need skilled, next-generation farmers to sustain our food systems.

The FIELD School meets this challenge head-on by training the trainers—equipping leaders of farmer incubators and apprenticeships with peer networks, hands-on learning, and cutting-edge tools. Each year, 45-60 programs gather at this event to strengthen their models, creating ripple effects that support thousands of new farmers nationwide.
