About the Lynn Assistant Grower Position: The Food Project is seeking a full-time Assistant Grower to work on our Lynn farm for the 2026 season. The Assistant Grower will partner with the Lynn Farm Manager, youth, and community members in all aspects of production at our Lynn sites, which includes a 1-acre urban farm at the Ingalls school, a 1,200 square foot greenhouse, and supporting community garden plots. At the Ingalls school we practice no-till market gardening, which includes farming mostly by hand and with human power. The farm is intensively managed to produce 20,000 pounds of produce each year, and the Assistant Grower will support distribution through our SNAP-accessible farmers’ market, mobile markets, wholesale accounts, and donations to hunger relief organizations. About the Boston Assistant Grower Position: The Food Project is seeking an Assistant Grower for our Boston farm, based in Boston’s Dudley neighborhood, for the 2026 season. The Assistant Grower partners with youth and neighbors to work on two acres of urban farm land and a 10,000-square foot greenhouse that yields over 25,000 pounds of produce annually. The Assistant Grower also supports the distribution of that food through our neighborhood farmer’s markets, restaurants, community partners, and hunger relief organizations. The farm staff, including the Assistant Grower support the implementation of our build-a-garden program as needed, helping to install raised bed gardens.
