Winter

Southeastern Massachusetts has a relatively mild climate in New England and farmers have an amazing diversity of vegetables available for sale all winter! Many vegetables and some fruit are stored in coolers like apples, beets, carrots, cranberries, onions, potatoes, winter squash and more. Hearty greens grow in unheated greenhouses all winter including lettuce, chard, kale, spinach, and more. There are many Farmers’ Markets and Farm Stands that are open year round. So find your local Winter Market and support your local farms.
