Jor Her of Sibling Crops has offered to share cultivation practices for crops connected to his Hmong background. In previous seasons, Jor has grown crops such as rice, bitter melon, long bean, water spinach, lemongrass, and bottle gourd. Sibling
Crops, LLC operates on state-owned land in coordination with the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources in Lakeville, Massachusetts. The property functions as a shared use farming site for newer tenant farming operations. Property Manager Ryan Burke will also share insights from other farmers on this land growing culturally relevant crops. This workshop is meant to be a space for peer learning and exchange between farmers. If you would like language services for the event, please reach out to ryan.p.burke@mass.gov with at least 1 full week advance notice.
