If deer are damaging your crops and cutting into your profits, this night is for you.

Join SEMAP for a free, farmer-focused evening to talk candidly about what’s actually working to manage deer pressure on your farm. We’ll provide dinner and time to connect with other farmers who are dealing with the same challenges.

The evening includes two practical panel discussions:

• Farmers sharing real-world experience with deer fencing: what’s worth the investment, what isn’t, lessons learned and what they would do differently.

• Experts from MassWildlife and Rhode Island DEM breaking down deer depredation permits: how the process works, who is eligible and what to expect.

Martin Feehan from the MA Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will be helping farmers sign up for depredation permits at the event!!

Come ready to learn, share, and leave with clear, actionable strategies to protect your crops and your bottom line. This event is free and sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR), through the Farmland Partnership Program.

Dinner will be provided and on-site childcare will be available so you can relax, connect with other farmers, and fully participate in the conversation.
