Benson’s Pond cultivates 80 acres of cranberry bogs and woodlands in Middleboro. Cass Gilmore is a 3rd generation cranberry grower and member of the Ocean Spray Cooperative. This Twilight will focus on techniques Cass has implemented to maximize fertility using farm produced inputs, rather than purchased fertilizers. Learn how Benson’s Pond’s has been able to transition to Organic growing practices and how that has affected their NPK numbers. The information presented in this Twilight is not cranberry specific and can be implemented on any crop.
