NRCS Rhode Island welcomes partner organizations to attend our RCPP Workshop on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, 10am-12pm at our offices at 60 Quaker Lane in Warwick, RI. We will also offer a virtual option, but the in-person experience is intended to be highly interactive and collaborative.
This workshop aims to raise awareness of funding and collaboration opportunities under the NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) - a program designed to foster innovative partnerships that deliver measurable conservation outcomes.
Why Participate?
- Access to Funding: RCPP offers financial assistance for conservation practices and easements, often leveraging federal funds with partner contributions. Additionally, RCPP provides funding for partner's staff time towards program management and implementation.
- Collaborative Impact: Partners design solutions tailored to their region, town, or environmental resource concerns. Many partners can contribute towards a singular project, multiplying the impact.
- Flexibility: RCPP expands upon all existing NRCS program authorities to create a program delivery model that is unique and tailored to the initiatives and capabilities of the involved partners.
Who Should Participate?
- Conservation NGOs and land trusts
- Soil and water conservation districts
- State and local governments
- Tribal entities
- Farmer/forestry associations and private organizations
- Universities and colleges
