Adopt-A-Seedling at Marshfield Farmers Market
April 17 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Marshfield Agricultural Commission will hold their 10th annual Adopt-a-Seedling event April 17 and May 15 at the Marshfield Farmers’ Market, Marshfield Fairgrounds, 140 Main St./Rte 3A.
Commission members start and nurture seedlings using organic materials and methods and then offer them for adoption for a donation of the customer’s choice.
The April 17 event will feature “cold start” vegetable seedlings such as lettuces, spinach, kale, chard and herbs. The May event will also offer cold sensitive seedlings, as well as warmer weather vegetable and flower seedlings and plant divisions.
All varieties for each event will be posted on the Marshfield Farmers’ Market website under the Adopt-a-Seedling icon. The April 17 “cold starts” will only be available through pre-order with a touch free, curbside pickup at the Marshfield Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to noon. To order, visit https://bit.ly/3rj2qdF.
