Hands-on Crop Production Course

For those interested in digging deeper into the enthralling world of sustainable agriculture, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project is offering this 8-week Crop Production Course at Moraine Farm this year. The course will include an abundance of resources and activities to help learners increase their ability to work with nature to grow good food, and it will cover topics including: fostering soil health, greenhouse management, irrigation, nutrient management, cover cropping, pest and disease management, and more!
In-Person Session (May 14, 2022 – July 2, 2022)
Meeting place and time: Moraine Farm (Beverly, MA) every other Saturday, 10am -1:00 p.m.
This on-farm version of the class will meet every other Saturday morning at Moraine Farm in Beverly, MA. In addition to the hands-on classes, we will have supplemental online material to be explored asynchronously between in-person gatherings. Other optional on-farm work-and-learn opportunities will be available as well.
This course is designed for those who want to get their hands in the soil and gain hands-on experience on a commercial farm, while having access to an array of online learning resources.
