Sweet Starts: Potato Slips and Potluck

Gather at The Food Project’s Dudley Greenhouse for a night all about sweet potatoes!
Seasoned gardener Elnora Thompson of Nightingale Community Garden will lead a demonstration on how to start your own sweet potato starts (“slips”) using potatoes from the grocery store and other found materials. Participants will be invited to bring a dish for a sweet potato-themed potluck.
This event will coincide with The Food Projects weekly winter farmers market – come early to get some fresh winter greens and other produce at an affordable price!
The Dudley Greenhouse is located at 11 Brook Ave, Roxbury. Street parking is available, and the site is a short walk from the 15 and 41 bus lines.
