Join us at our Twilight Grower Series, this time about pasture-raised livestock! Led by farmers Kathryn Shepard & Erin Williams, we’ll check out the hogs at Revival Farm, cattle at Bogside Acres, and broiler chickens at Plympton Poultry. They’ll lead us in discussing best practices & do’s & don’ts, they’ll demonstrate use of their chicken tractor, and we’ll hop in to see the pigs! They’ll also be able to talk about the intricacies of raising livestock on leased, shared, and non-contiguous land. All are welcome; commercial farmers are especially invited.
As with all of our Twilight workshops, this event is free to all. Childcare will be provided on site – please be sure to include how many children you plan to bring when you register. A licensed mental health counselor will also be on-site to discreetly discuss stressors 1-on-1 or with groups of farmers.
