What is a CSA?
Many farms offer CSA programs throughout a season, or multiple seasons. In most cases, you’ll pay a fee up-front at the beginning of the season. Then, every week, month, or other regular period of time, you get a share of fruits, vegetables, or anything else the CSA includes. It’s like a subscription!
Most produce CSAs open signups early in the spring or even in winter. The CSA season begins mid to late spring (May/June), and
can run through the fall (Oct/Nov). Some farms offer extended seasons, pick-up flexibility, and many different share types and sizes. It’s best to check directly with the farm about these offerings before you sign up.
