Whether you’re new to agriculture or have been farming for decades, there’s always opportunity for growth! SEMAP provides direct business and marketing support for farmers and ranchers in Bristol, Plymouth, and Norfolk counties.

If you have a need in one of the areas listed below (or a topic that’s not listed) please fill out this form.

SEMAP may be able to help you with:

  • Marketing and online content
  • E-commerce
  • Land access
  • Labor laws and management
  • On-farm safety
  • Bookkeeping
  • Grants and financing
  • Business planning
  • Diversifying production
  • Regenerative practices
  • Farmers market support
  • SNAP/HIP support
  • And more!

We accept applications on a rolling basis, and a SEMAP staff member will meet with you to assess your needs. We may be able to assist you directly, or arrange a free or low-cost one-on-one consultation with a graphic designer, accountant, web developer, business advisor, financial consultant, farmer, or other professional.

BIPOC farmers and Limited Resource farmers are particularly encouraged to apply.

Keep an eye out for technical skills workshops through our Twilight Grower Series, networking meetings, and other events. You can also find many helpful resources in our Farmer Resource Library.

SEMAP’s business assistance offerings are supported in part by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency, under Federal Award Identification Number FA-MA-6-007, by the USDA’s Marketing Service through grant AM200100XXXXG178, and by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture under award 2020-70017-32420. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the USDA.

This program is also made possible by individual contributions, SEMAP members, and Southeastern Massachusetts farming communities.
