Job Description:
We are looking for an exceptional person with farm experience interested in CSA operations for 2018 and beyond. Coonamessett Farm is located in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Our CSA has about 100 members.
Responsibilities include:
The CSA Manager is responsible for providing a diverse, bountiful share to each shareholder of the CSA. The position includes work in the office, with the public, and on the farm. The CSA Manager participates in the day-to-day operations, including planting, weeding, harvesting, packing and distributing to the CSA members, other outlets, and the farm’s store. The Coonamessett Farm CSA also partners with other farms to provide meats and cheeses. The CSA Manager is responsible for all communications with cheese and meat vendors including ordering, record keeping, packing, and distributing these products. The CSA Manager maintains all communications with members including emails and newsletters.
Qualifications include:
Demonstrated interest in agriculture customer service skills. Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs and work outside in a physically demanding environment for 8-10 hours Previous experience working on farms is desired. Able to work without direct supervision. Strong organizational and computer skills.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience 20% employee discount in farmstand. Housing is available at very reasonable rates.
