Anawan Farm, Rehoboth, MA is Hiring for the 2019 Season! 
Anawan Farm is in its fourth year & growing. We will be certified organic Spring 2019. Our farm is placing emphasis on developing community through farming via experiences, workshops and events. We have a small CSA of 40 shares and a tented farm stand on Route 118 where we offer flower shares as well as bouquets for all types of events and special occasions. Flowers are sold at two markets per week. Our farm is an LGBTQA friendly farm. We work hard but we greatly value relationships created by owning & operating a local farm. A solid commitment and great personality are musts for any of the following farm positions:

Part-time Farm Assistant
Part-time Floral Farm Manager
Part-time Farm Stand Attendant

Position: Part-Time Farm Assistant

Rate: $12-15/hr depending on experience
Hours: 16 hours/week

We are looking for a committed individual willing to work from May-October. (Time slots for hours to work can be flexible in May-June & September-October if need be.)

Reports to: Farm Owners, Pam & Gabi Salisbury
Description: We are searching for someone with a passion for hard work, who loves being outdoors and isn’t afraid of getting dirty. This position is an essential part of our farm & is mainly a labor position.

Responsibilities:
–  weeding, transplanting, mulching beds, tending to seedlings when necessary
–  watering seedlings, helping manage pests, harvesting vegetables, washing vegetables
 
Requirements:
Passionate about locally grown food
Must love working with people.
Willingness to learn, follow directions and record farm details on paperwork such as harvesting, pest control, seedling management records is essential.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Positive attitude a must
Ability to lift 50lbs

Position: Part-Time Floral Farm Manager

Rate: $12-15/hr depending on experience
Hours:25 hours/week which includes ability to attend & manage two farmers markets/week. Thursdays 3pm-8pm & Saturdays 8am-2pm. Hours beyond the farmers markets are flexible.

We are looking for a committed individual willing to work from May through Mid-October. Non-Market Hours can be flexible in September-October if need be.
Reports to: Farm Owners, Pam & Gabi Salisbury
Description: The floral Manager will cut and manage flowers for our farm stand and farmers markets.

Responsibilities:
–  Sanitize buckets
–  Cut, arrange, and prepare flowers
–  Keep inventory of flowers harvested, amount of bouquets sold at stand and at markets
–  Maintain and replenish farm stand flower arrangements while preparing for farmers markets during the week
–  Weed flower beds
–  Water seedlings when necessary
–   Dead head flower plants
–   Setup, sell, and breakdown at two farmers markets
 
Requirements:
Passionate about locally grown flowers
Great personality a must
Must love working with the public & flowers!
Positive attitude a must
Ability to work in heat, lift & load flowers into vehicles or on trailers
A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IS MANDATORY

Position: Part-Time Farm Stand Attendant

Rate: $12/hr
Hours: We are looking for a committed individual willing to work from June to Mid-October.
Saturday: 2-6
Sunday: 1-6
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 1-6
Wednesday: 1-6
Thursday: 1-6
Friday: 1-6 

Reports to: Farm Owners, Pam & Gabi Salisbury
Description: You hold a passion for people skills, have a great personality, along with basic math skills and a willingness to learn all about what happens at a farm stand. Keeping our farm stand clean, stocked, and CSA share clients happy via your customer service skills is your main goal. You will also know, or be willing to learn, how to answer their questions in regards to growing farm produce and how to use our produce in recipes. When our farm stand is not busy, we expect washing, bunching, stocking of vegetables as well as maintenance of our herb garden (weeding, planting, pruning, etc) near the farm stand. Willing to train the right person. Other small tasks may also be assigned.

Basic math skills
Willingness to learn, follow directions and record farm stand inventory
Reliable transportation with ability to arrive on time
Positive attitude a must
Ability to lift 50lbs
