Greenhouse Manager
Greenhouse Manager is a full-time year-round position with 50-60 hours/week in peak season, and 40 hours/week in the offseason.
Start date – flexible November-February
Qualifications:
-3-5 years farming experience and/or degree in related agricultural field preferred, minimum one year of farming experience
-Basic knowledge of organic greenhouse propagation and vegetable production
-Able to work and communicate well with others, either leading a crew or being led by another manager
-Able to lift 50 lbs
-Punctual and reliable
-Desire to accomplish farm-wide goals by communicating and working with other members of our team in a quick and efficient manner
Responsibilities:
-Manage plant propagation and vegetable production in 12,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse space including seeding, transplanting, watering, bed preparation, pruning, trellising, and record keeping
-Efficiently manage and communicate with 1-4 crew members assisting in greenhouse duties during peak seasons
-Assist with other farm tasks such as field transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing, deliveries, farmers markets, and value-added production during off peak seasons
Compensation: Position starts at $12-15/hr depending on experience. Free farm vegetables and grains and discount on meat, eggs, and value-added product
Livestock Manager
Livestock Manager is a full time year-round position with 50-60 hours/week in peak season, and 40 hours/week in offseason.

Qualifications:
– 2-3 years livestock farming experience and/or degree in related agricultural field preferred, minimum one year of livestock farming experience
-Basic knowledge of livestock handling and husbandry including cows, sheep, chickens, hogs, goats, and turkeys
-Basic knowledge of livestock fencing set up, repair, and maintenance
-Basic tractor operation skills, experience making hay and maintaining equipment preferred
-Punctual and reliable
-Able to lift 50lbs
-Desire to accomplish farm-wide goals by communicating and working with other members of our team in a quick and efficient manner
Responsibilities:
-Implement yearly livestock plan created by farm manager
-Perform daily livestock care tasks such as feeding, watering, moving fences and livestock
-Assist in lambing, kidding, calving, farrowing, and castrating of farm livestock
-Assist in on-farm hay production
-Assist in portable and permanent high tensile fence repair and maintenance
-Assist with other farm tasks such as field transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing, deliveries, farmers markets, and value-added production during off-peak seasons
